Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, the Tokyo based automaker, is preparing to launch its popular RVR urban crossover in India. This Japanese car maker is introducing its second SUV in the country after Mitsubishi Outlander in a quest to consolidate its position in the SUV segment. To be positioned below Outlander, Mitsubishi RVR is expected to be launched by the end of 2012.
In terms of design, this vehicle has inherited many features from its siblings like Evo X and Outlander. The car will be priced within price bracket of Rs. 14 to 16 Lacs in the premium SUV segment. Therefore, RVR will challenge crossovers like Chevrolet Captiva, Hyundai Santa Fe, Honda CR-V, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Skoda Yeti and Toyota Fortuner.

Mitsubishi Mirage






Mitsubishi Mirage is expected to be launched in Thailand in March, thereafter in India by mid-2012. As per industry sources, the expected price of the compact hatchback will lie within Rs. 4.5 lacs to Rs. 5.5 lacs. With the launch of Mitsubishi Mirage in India, the Japanese manufacturer is seeking another life in the high-potential Indian automotive industry after their average performance in other car segments. The urban car will be pitted against well-established league players like Hyundai i10, Chevrolet Beat, Maruti Suzuki A-Star and Ford Figo.
